Trans Resources in Maine
In progress...
If you do a google search for Maine and Transgender, you'll probably find several lists of resources from different national websites that don't describe the group/organization/individual, confirm if a group is still in existence, and may or may not have accurate contact info and updated contact emails.
There are a few longstanding groups and trans activists who provide services in Maine, and they should be given recognition!
I'm hoping to do a little research, then post that same "list of resources" here, only with details about what the group does, how to get involved, and the best way to contact the leader. I'm hoping this will be a little bit more "userfriendly" and personal than the typical resource list, and not as intimidating as seeing something like:
Transgender Group
contact: Bob
555-5555
I know if I saw the listing above and I didn't know Bob, I'd probably be a little reluctant to call.
I'm planning on tracking down organization leaders, find out what they wouldn't mind having displayed publicly, and putting it all here. Give me a few days...
